These tours are particularly popular and often
fully booked very early in the year.
We can adapt tours for specific species & group requirements.
Species vary with the seasons, ie. Spring & Autumn migration
Just some of the Species often encountered in or around the Ariege

Lammergeier (breeding locally), Bonellis eagle,
Capercaillie, Tengmalms owl, Eagle Owl, Black Woodpecker, White Backed
Woodpecker, Wall Creeper, Snow finch, Short Toed Eagle, Griffon &
Egyptian vultures, Citril Finch, Subalpine Warbler, Alpine Accentor,
Rock Thrush, Golden Oriole, Black Wheatear, Rock Sparrow, Hoopoe and
many, many more.
Lammergeier breeding sites are always popular; watching these magnificent
raptors with their 3-metre wing span carrying out dramatic aerial
displays is an experience never to be forgotten.

The Lammergeier, Griffon Vulture, Golden Eagle, Egyptian Vulture have
all been seen flying over the house were you will be staying. Red
squirrels, Edible dormice (it's ok their not on our menu!) & Crested
tits are breeding in the grounds. Ariege is one of the few places
in the Pyrenees were you may have the opportunity to encounter Brown
Bear.
