You may be lucky and find some of the rare Orchids that can be found in the meadows or maybe even catch a glimpse of the elusive Brown Bear and Isard that populate this region of the Pyrenees

Ariege is the least populated department of France and is steeped in history and famous for the prehistoric caves with ancient drawings. The region is littered with tranquil, picturesque villages where you can sample the real taste of French country cuisine and it's local wines.
